What Does a Casa Linda Home Sell For in 2026?

By Paul Blair | October 8, 2026

Redfin's Casa Linda market page shows a median sale price of $541,589 for the three months ending August 2026, up 2.9 percent from a year earlier, at a median of $297 per square foot. That is the honest short answer. The longer answer is that the same Redfin neighborhood also contains a 4,239-square-foot house on Losa Drive that Redfin shows as sold, with a last list price of $1,760,000, so one median describes very little of what a buyer or seller will actually meet here.

This post uses recent Casa Linda closings as market comps. It is not a Grey Square listing, and nothing here describes any property beyond what the public sale record shows. Redfin's recently sold pages display each home's last list price rather than the final closing price, so every figure in the table below is a list price, and it is labeled that way.

Where Casa Linda Sits

Casa Linda is in East Dallas, south and east of White Rock Lake and south of Garland Road, according to Wikipedia's entry on Casa Linda Estates. The same entry records that Carl and Ida Brown bought the 640-acre tract on January 1, 1933, farmed it, and then installed streets, electricity, and city water before building began. Many of the streets carry Spanish names, which is why you will see Tranquilla, Verano, Losa, and Cloister Drive in the same conversation.

The commercial anchor is Casa Linda Plaza, at 1152 N Buckner Boulevard, which its owner EDENS describes as the oldest shopping center in the City of Dallas, built in 1945 in a Spanish Revival style with tile roofs and masonry walls. The architecture of the plaza and the houses around it share a vocabulary, and the same page places the center near White Rock Lake and the Dallas Arboretum.

Wikipedia also notes lots of half an acre or more on winding, tree-lined roads in the estates section, along with Spanish Colonial Revival homes. That lot size is a physical characteristic worth checking address by address through the Dallas Central Appraisal District, because it varies a great deal from block to block.

The Numbers Behind the Headline

Redfin's Casa Linda page reports 98.0 percent sale-to-list, a median of 42 days on market, and 19.9 percent of homes selling above list price. Its Compete Score for the area is 58, labeled somewhat competitive. For context, Redfin gives Lakewood a 65 and East Dallas a 55 on the same scale.

The spread inside the neighborhood is wide. Redfin's recent sales run from a 1,152-square-foot house on Sylvia Drive with a last list price of $245,000 up to the 4,239-square-foot Losa Drive house at $1,760,000. Both are in the Casa Linda boundary, and they sit in different ZIP codes, 75228 and 75218. A median drawn across both ends tells you the middle of the range, not where any given house is likely to land.

Two clusters stand out. The three 75218 homes listed between roughly $1.2 million and $1.76 million, while the 75228 homes in the table listed between $400,000 and $625,000. Size explains part of it, since the larger homes have more living area, but the per-square-foot figures show that size alone does not close the gap. Lot, location within the boundary, renovation level, and the age and style of the house are the more likely drivers, and each deserves a look at the specific address.

How to Read a Neighborhood With Two Price Bands

When one neighborhood name spans very different price points, a few habits keep the numbers honest:

  • Compare by ZIP and by street. A median across the whole boundary blends two markets that behave differently.
  • Look at the closed sale, not only the list price. Redfin's recently sold page shows last list prices, so confirm the closing price through the title company or county records before you rely on a number.
  • Match lot size, living area, and renovation level. A half-acre lot and a standard lot can sit far apart on the same street.
  • Zoom out to the neighbors. See how the market reads next door in our White Rock Lake spotlight and our East Dallas guide, or browse current inventory on our Dallas search page.

Redfin reported a median sale price of $541,589 for the three months ending August 2026, up 2.9 percent year over year, with a median of $297 per square foot. Because the neighborhood spans two price bands, the median describes the middle of the range rather than a typical house.
